Description
Concord University invites applications for a Strength & Conditioning Coach. The Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strength, conditioning, and injury prevention programs for all athletic teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish schedules for individual weight rooms and provide oversight for weight room facilities.
- Formulate, implement, and monitor policies and procedures.
- Monitor expenses, analyze cost projections and trends, identify resource allocation, and maintain a balanced budget.
- Maintain detailed and current knowledge on all NCAA and University rules and regulations related to field and ensure all those under their scope of responsibility are remaining compliant.
- Work in cooperation with the sports medicine and athletic training staff to help reduce the risk of injury and to help develop return to play plans if injuries occur.
- Devise training plans according to sound scientific principles, supervise training sessions, evaluate athletes, maintain athlete records, and supervise work study and internship students.
- Meet regularly with sport coaches and sports medicine staff to create sound training and rehabilitation plans.
- Conduct an annual needs analysis for each sport team in conjunction with the sport coaches and the team’s athletic trainer at the conclusion of each sport season.
