Head Tennis Boys/Girls Coach

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promote the mission of Bishop O†Gorman Catholic Schools.
• Assume responsibility for the entire program which includes: coaching the varsity squad and supervising assistant coaches 9-12; giving guidance to middle school coaches and programs feeding into respective high schools and implements district athletics department policies.
• Works with Activities Director to correlate the practice schedules of the ninth, sophomore, junior varsity, and varsity squads.
• Supervises dressing rooms and playing area during and following periods of team participation.
• Remains with students and supervises when traveling to away games.
• Cares for athletes and injured athletes.
• Cares for and maintains equipment and annual inventories.
• Prepares award lists and collects athletic fees.
• Works closely with newspapers, radio, and television personnel to encourage favorable public interest in the program specifically and the athletic program generally.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS Education (preferred).
• Exhibit the core values of Bishop O†Gorman Catholic Schools: Faith, Unity, Excellence, and Integrity.
• Fundamentals of Coaching.
• Sports First Aide.
• On line meeting and exam.
• Concussion in Sports.
• Heat Illness Prevention (fall coaches only).
• High School head coaching experience desired.
