Description
Under general supervision, plans, organizes, and supervises a program to teach fundamentals of the Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics (CARA) track and field program to participants 5-18 years of age.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Designs and implements drills for practices, workouts and training.
- Sets up and takes down equipment as needed.
- Monitors participant attendance against rosters to ensure all payments are received.
- Instructs sport relevant skills to participants of various ability levels.
- Ensures all possible safety measures are observed.
- Identifies and reports any hazards.
- Provides excellent customer service, including interacting with participants and/or parents to answer questions and resolve problems.
- Responds to emergency situations as required; maintains and forwards accurate accident and incident reports to supervisor.
- Reports any issues and concerns to supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires one season of experience as a participant or coach in track and field
- . Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- College level experience in track and field, either playing or coaching is preferred.
