Description
Under the direction of the Director of Athletics, the part-time Head Track & Field Coach is responsible for all aspects of the development and administration of a successful NCAA Division III Intercollegiate Track & Field Program. The program will be conducted in accordance with all College and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), Conference of New England (CNE) rules, regulations, and policies.
Essential Functions:
- Partner with the Admission Department in the recruiting of student athletes; provide recruiting reports as requested by Admission and follow Admission and recruiting procedures as required by Admission.
- Arrange and attend recruiting visits to schools, games, and recruiting events, maintaining full and accurate records of recruiting events.
- Collaborate with Athletic departments Recruitment & retention coordinator to update lists on a weekly basis.
- Recruit 40 NEW T&F Student-athletes to Curry College for Fall 2025/Spring 2026.
- Teach and develop Track & Field specific skills in a successful, safe and prudent manner;
- Create, present, and maintain records of up-to-date lesson plans for pre-season/season practice drills and procedures detailing the desired goals to be achieved;
- Schedule practice and game preparation sessions.
- Initiate new ideas and methods to improve the program in support of the College goal of a successful conference and attainment of a regional level Intercollegiate Associate ranking relevant to Track & Field.
