Head Varsity Baseball Coach

As a High School Baseball Coach, you will coach and lead the school's baseball program. The WCHS Baseball program must follow all WCS board policies and the governance of the NCHSAA.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and conduct regular practices to improve players' skills in batting, pitching, fielding, and base running.
• Develop game strategies and tactics to maximize the team's performance.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to student-athletes, both on and off the field.
• Foster a supportive and respectful team environment that encourages sportsmanship.
• Attend games, tournaments, and other team events.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members during practices and games.
• Emphasize the importance of fair play and good sportsmanship.
• Collaborate with other coaches and school staff to coordinate team activities.
• Perform all necessary field maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience, preferably in baseball.
• In-depth knowledge of baseball rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to reach their full potential.
• Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to undergo any necessary background checks or training.
