Head Volleyball Coach

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coach and administer all aspects of the women’s volleyball program.
• Evaluate and recruit student-athletes for volleyball.
• Work within policy guidelines and regulations of the Hutchinson Community College Athletic Department, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference, and the NJCAA.
• Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
• Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Successful background in coaching volleyball preferred.
• Successful management of budgets.
• Successful background in the recruitment process of student athletes preferred.
• The ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff, administration, alumni, media and the general public.
• Physical requirements include excellent verbal and written communication skills; understand words and respond effectively and appropriately; Visual acuity to view a computer terminal; use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations; moderate outdoor and indoor work environment.
• Mental requirements include the ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions about the position.
