Head Women’s Golf Coach

The Head Women’s Golf Coach is responsible for the management and administration of all phases of the golf program. The Head Women’s Golf Coach is expected to adhere to the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Athletics.

Primary Duties:

• Develop practice and competition strategies which will allow the team to be successful.
• Ensure an atmosphere of compliance with all institutional, conference, and national association rules and regulations.
• Provide instruction, motivation and support of all student-athletes and administer all aspects of the program including recruiting, coaching, training, scheduling, budgeting, and marketing/promotion of the program.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics or the President of the University.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and extensive knowledge of the sport of golf with a demonstrated ability to teach the game.
• Ability to recruit quality student athletes who can excel in both athletics and academics.
• A demonstrated knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a golf program and athletic department.
• A proven record in following directives and being responsible for tasks which have been assigned.
