This position will report to the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance/SWA. The Head Women's Volleyball Coach will provide vision, leadership and oversight for all aspects of a NCAA Division III women's volleyball program to include the support and advancement of the mission of Marymount University, evaluation, recruitment of qualified scholar student-athletes that includes local, regional and national talent, coaching, coordinating team practices to enhance the team’s performance as a highly visible sport, budget oversight and fundraising activities.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In accordance with NCAA rules and regulations, create a dynamic, inclusive and diverse recruiting plan to attract and retain high-profile student-athletes that are academically and athletically prepared.

Develop and execute a strategic plan for developing a regionally and nationally recognized competitive team.

Oversee and coordinate seasonal plans to include: competitive schedules, facilities, officials, academic progress, welfare and retention.

Adhere to the rules of the University, Atlantic East Conference, and the NCAA

In conjunction with the strength and conditioning staff, athletic trainers and team physicians develop training and conditioning programs to enhance team performance.

In accordance with NCAA rules and regulations, conceive, implement and supervise strategies to recruit high-profile student-athletes that are academically and athletically prepared.

Serve as an ambassador for the Marymount Athletics through articulation of its mission, promoting the softball program locally, nationally and internationally.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: 3-5 years of coaching experience, including 1-3 years of head coaching experience. Collegiate playing experience. Thorough knowledge of NCAA regulations and guidelines governing the recruitment and retention of student athletes.
- Licenses or Certifications: CPR, First Aid and AED certification. Current and valid driver's license.
- Financial Responsibility: Processes or records financial transactions within established guidelines and safeguards. Reviews and/or approves financial transactions at the function or department level. May require some interpretation of policies. Process purchase requests and make budgetary decisions within a set budget for the program.
