Description
Delaware State University is accepting applications for a full-time head women's wrestling coach. This position is responsible for the operation of the women’s wrestling program within the rules and regulations of the Delaware State University, Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and the NCAA.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Delaware State University Fundamentals.
- Effective interpersonal relationships and communication with student-athletes, support staff, community, alumni, and administration.
- Sound fiscal management and stewardship of program resources.
- Consistent compliance with NCAA, MEAC, and Delaware State University policies, rules, and regulations.
- Preparation, organization, design, and implementation of effective practice plans, off-season programs, scouting reports and recruiting systems.
- Consistent and successful recruitment, retention, competitive development, and graduation of high-performing women’s wrestling student-athletes.
Qualifications:
- Successfully recruit, retain, develop, and graduate high-performing women’s wrestling student-athletes.
- Preparation, organization, design, and implementation of effective practice plans, off-season programs, scouting reports and recruiting systems.
- Effective and timely budget management, equipment oversight, and travel planning.
- Effective community engagement, donor, and public relations.
- Consistent compliance with NCAA, MEAC, and DSU policies, rules, and regulations
- Excellent communication, organizational teaching, public relations, interpersonal, customer service, and supervisory skills.
- Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
