Health/PE Teacher

To plan and deliver a program of instruction that meets students’ needs, is consistent with good practice, and fulfills the expectations criteria for teachers as identified in the Webster Groves School District teacher evaluation tool.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with other faculty in the delivery of proper instructional approaches, working to serve all learning styles and needs.
• Implements curriculum and instruction in a way consistent with District’s mission statement.
• Leadership and the effective execution of programs offered in the Webster Groves High School weight room facilities.
• Supervise locker-room.
• Show empathy for and understanding of students.
• Develop with parents and students a cooperative partnership based on mutual respect and objectivity.
• Facilitate resolution of problems that might arise with students and parents.
• Assess students’ performance often and objectively.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by the Board of Education.
• Respect and support all students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Requires Missouri teacher certification (Health and PE).
