Health / Physical Education Teacher

Monticello Middle School is seeking a dynamic person to teach Health and Physical Education (required); appropriate licensure to teach DAPE is preferred, but not required. This person will provide quality physical education, health and wellness instruction and assessment aligned with state and national standards.

License & Experience:

• Licensed to teach Physical Education & Health in the State of Minnesota (required).
• Licensed to teach DAPE in the State of Minnesota (preferred).
• Knowledge and experience working with middle school students.

Essential Skills:

• Understanding of the Minnesota Academic Standards for content area.
• Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs and the strategic plan of the district.
• Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning.
• Maintain confidentiality of information about students, staff and families.
• Experience working with diverse students and families - experience/training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods preferred.
