Job Goal:
Be dedicated to the development of lifelong learners by providing leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills that will promote the educational development of each student.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the vision and mission of the District as well as building vision that sets high expectations for students and staff.
- Work with various members of the central administrative staff on initiatives and projects of District-wide importance.
- Understand, support, and help the building principal implement change efforts at the District and/or building level.
- Assist with supervision of certified staff and encourage creative and innovative research-based instruction.
- Develop communication strategies to inform staff, parents, students, community members, and all stakeholders of progress towards the vision and mission of the District.
- Ensure the school community is involved in the school improvement efforts.
Education or Experience:
- M.A. degree and a minimum of 5 years teaching experience at the level.
- Successful co-curricular (coaching/sponsor/director) experience.
- Successful administrative experience.
- Cross-cultural experience working with adolescents.
- Successful teaming and collaborative experiences with multiple administrators.
