Description
The High School Athletic Director is responsible for providing assistance to the Principal in the administration of the athletic program and the total school program in general.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Athletic program that is centered on the development of outstanding student-athletes.

Develop and articulate in partnership with parents and staff the athletic program for Grosse Pointe North High School.

Assist with team leadership.

Schedule facilities and fields for after-school activities.

Manage online scheduling platform.

Serve as the primary evaluator for all coaches.

Assist in administering a program of student and athlete discipline.

Assist with team leadership, and serve on various committees and organizations as assigned.

Attend all school leadership team and staff meetings.

Work closely with the administrative team to assist in the management of students and staff.

Attend extra-curricular events such as homecoming, prom, parent nights, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree preferred. Training should include areas of school administration, supervision, sports/athletic management, or other related area(s).

Valid School Administrator Certificate (or be eligible to obtain) or Athletic Administrator Certificate with proven experience in a K-12 setting.

Certified Athletic Administration Certification or Registered Athletic Administration Certification is preferred.

A minimum of five years of teaching and/or administrative experience and substantial experience in a variety of leadership roles is preferred.
