Description
Temporary position starting 8/26/2024, ending 11/17/2024. Assist students in reaching their full potential for intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and psychological development and growth, and to assist in maintaining a safe and secure school environment. Implement, supervise, and maintain a high-quality learning environment for students within specific curriculum and standards of the District.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required to hold an Oregon teaching license as set by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission for the State of Oregon.
- Familiarity with state standards and curriculum frameworks.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to exhibit professionalism and effective human relations.
- Ability to effectively manage and supervise students and their work.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and collaboration efforts with staff and community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain current licenses and/or certificates required for the position
- Create and model a respectful learning environment.
- Plan appropriate lessons and activities to meet students’ needs
- Use effective classroom management techniques.
- Use a variety of instructional techniques based upon sound education theory, which are appropriate to students’ needs.
- Assess student performance, interpret, and utilizes the results of student performance assessment.
- Maintain accurate, complete and confidential records as required by law and district policy and administrative regulations.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with school staff and with parents/guardians concerning academic and behavioral progress of students.
- Implement modifications and accommodations for all students with IEP’s.
- Utilize technology as related to job responsibilities.
