HS JV Basketball Coach

Immaculate Heart High School, a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for girls located in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, California, seeks a talented and experienced JV Basketball coach.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and conduct practices, training sessions, and games.
• Teach fundamental basketball skills and strategies.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive team culture.
• Collaborate with the Varsity Head Coach to ensure alignment between the JV and Varsity programs.
• Monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes.
• Manage and maintain the safety and well-being of all participants.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the rules, strategies, and techniques of basketball.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work as a team – with other coaches, staff, teachers, and administration.
• Desire to engage with the Immaculate Heart school community.
• Available afternoon, evening and some weekends.
• Attend all practices, meetings and games.
