HS PE teacher

Spearman High School is in search of a High School P.E. teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. The position will pay an additional $3,000 for Master degree. District pays $385 per month towards applicants health insurance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certification.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy.
• Ability and patience to work interactively with students.
• Skill in organization, time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deliver teaching instruction in accordance with improved curriculum and standards.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Instruct through lectures, discussions and demonstrations.
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects, and communicate those objectives to students.
• Collaborate and communicate with staff to meet the educational needs of students.
• Create, administer and grade tests to evaluate student progress.
• Establish and enforce rules and procedures which help maintain order in the classroom.
• Observe, evaluate and prepare reports on student progress.
• Participate in faculty and professional meetings, conferences, workshops, and staff development.
