Ice Hockey Coach

FMC Ice Sports is looking for Coaches for their New England Future Stars 2023 season. The New England Future Stars is a highly competitive and skills Spring/Summer program designed for youth hockey players (Squirt-High School) who compete at the highest level of play and want to improve their game in the off-season. The league includes both Girls and Boys teams.

Responsibilities:

• Aid in the recruitment of players for tryouts, including attending tryouts, selecting team, roster assignment, etc.
• Secure and manage assistant coaches.
• Organize, plan and attend weekly practices and games.
• Prepare and deliver practices focused on skills development and team play.
• Help coordinate player payment and collection with our main office.
• Must complete SafeSport training prior to start (paid for and provided by FMC).

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching at high school level or above is required.
• Collegiate or Junior playing experience helpful.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to attract and retain high-level players.
• Experience in established programs.
• USA Hockey certified preferred, but not required.
