Description
A full-time position is available in Intercollegiate Athletics beginning July 1, 2024. The working title of this assignment is Assistant Men's Hockey Coach with an official title in the Coach title series. The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution is required.
- Demonstrated experience and success of all duties listed below.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules.
- Prior college coaching experience.
DUTIES:
- Assist the head coach in directing a highly successful program within the guidelines of the University, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), and NCAA Division III.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of qualified student athletes consistent with the academic standards of the University. Organize and implement highly effective recruit campus visits.
- Assist with the care and inventory of equipment for the program.
- Assist with the promotion of the sport with students, alumni, and members of the community.
- Assist with promoting program revenue generation related to the program including fundraising.
- Participate in department fundraising, camps and clinics and public relations events.
- Lead all Blugold Hockey camps and clinics under the advisement of Head Coach.
- Oversee social media platforms for men's hockey that promote the program.
- Maximize the physical talent of the team through quality teaching and coaching, and the promotion of teamwork.
