Interim Assistant Tennis Coach

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists, in cooperation with the Head Men’s Tennis Coach, all aspects of coaching and administering a Division III Men’s Tennis Program.
• Preparations planning, and setup for practice/setup.
• Performs practice and match analyses as well as class schedule analysis for players.
• Assists with supervising student workers.
• Assists with travel planning and home matches and tournaments.
• Coordinating travel plans (rental cars, hotels etc).
• Helps arrange team meals before/during/after competition.
• Responsible for driving school vehicles to and around for competitions.
• Assists with preparation of team uniforms.
• Teaches activity classes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Demonstrated effectiveness in the instructional aspects of coaching, tennis stringing, and tournament and event management.
• Knowledge of the game of tennis and the fundamentals of the sport.
• Ability to string tennis racquets.
• Ability to operate in a gym/gym equipment/workout plans.
• Ability to operate the budget and Concur Solutions.
• Ability to coordinate practices.
• Admissions requirements.
• ITA rules and regulations.
• NCAA rules and regulations.
• Ability to work computer programs/systems/data entry.
• Coaching, recruiting, scheduling.
