Jr. High Football Coach

The Jr. High Football Coach's primary responsibility is supervising the participants enrolled in the Jr. High Football program during practices and games.

Responsibilities:

• Assist students in developing and improving their football skills
• Assess students' football skills to determine areas in need of improvement.
• Develop innovative ways to assist beginner and younger students in learning and remembering the rules of the game.
• Identify the best learning styles for each student and adapt coaching methods accordingly.
• Provide a secure and productive learning environment for students.
• Communicate, manage, and work with 8th grade football players.
• Develop a daily practice plan for each practice session.
• Develop game plans for each game throughout the season.
• Manage one to two parent volunteer coaches.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proven experience playing the game of football; working as a football coach.
• Understand the rules of football.
• Collaborate with the varsity football coach to meet the long-term needs of the Delano football program.
