Description
Serving as a youth lacrosse camp coach position is a great way to interact and to share your passion for lacrosse, group activities, and skill development with aspiring youth. Each day you will work in groups of 2/3 coaches to teach basic and intermediate skills, team sport rules, and simply to model and teach camaraderie in a great setting. Being a coach is a high energy, and sometimes intense job.
Responsibilities:
- Previous experience tutoring or coaching children is strongly preferred.
- Coaches will be responsible for the safety and supervision of up to 10 campers.
Qualifications:
- Applicants should have a basic knowledge of lacrosse and group initiatives.
- Applicants must demonstrate good judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Applicants should be positive and enthusiastic role models for campers and must be able to work in teams.
- Additionally, applicants should feel comfortable explaining and enforcing camp rules as well as managing conflict.
- Applicants should demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and be excellent at communicating with staff, campers and parents.
- Camp Coaches will be required to take an active role in staff trainings, staff meetings and each and every day of camp.
- Coaches must be open to performance based feedback.
