Description
Under the supervision of the Director of Fitness, Wellness, and Inclusion, the Masters Swimming Program Head Coach oversees the day-to-day operations of the Stanford Masters Swimming Program including facility scheduling, on-site team coaching, training program development, and membership administration. This position also oversees part-time Masters coaches.
In this role you will:
- Conduct multiple daily training sessions on-site up to five days per week.
- Develop, plan, and organize periodized and effective training programs for participants of all levels.
- Instruct participants on proper swimming technique.
- Coordinate the Masters Swimming program for Recreation and Wellness including providing leadership and supervision of part-time Masters Swimming coaches.
- Manage and maintain Masters team membership including annual dues, USA Masters membership status, and liability waivers.
- Implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day operations of the Masters Swimming program.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience in supporting the oversight of instructional and aquatics staff.
- Strong computer skills such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Drive and similar applications.
- Demonstrates leadership traits including effective communication, supervisory skills, and the ability to manage workflow.
- Excellent customer service experience and a proven ability to meet performance standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing with individuals and groups of diverse backgrounds.
