Men’s Baseball Coach

Develop a highly competitive men’s baseball program, consistent with the student athlete philosophy of TJCCAA/NJCAA Division I, which generates college and community enthusiasm and support.

Essential Functions:

• Serve as men’s baseball coach including recruiting, organization of practice, game scheduling fundraising and promotion of program.
• Works within approved budgets and manage scholarship, operating, travel and fundraising budgets for the program.
• Maintains appropriate record keeping for program including, but not limited to: up-to-date statistical reports for NJCAA; student-athlete graduation and transfer statistics; files of student-athletes’ records to assist with eligibility; meets Columbia State and NJCAA deadlines for statistics, eligibility, etc.
• Monitor men’s baseball student-athlete progress including class attendance, academic performance, tutoring, registration for classes, personal adjustment and financial aid management as the advisor for the student athletes.
• Supervise the part-time assistant baseball coach or coaches.
• Maintain equipment and field.
• Assist with the coordination and implementation of the intramural sports program.

Education, Training and Experience:

• Master's degree.
• Two years of baseball coaching at the community college level.
• One year of high school or college-level student services experience.
