Men’s Basketball Head Coach

West Kentucky Community & Technical College (WKCTC), recognized as a top 10 community college in the nation by The Aspen Institute five consecutive times and three times as a Finalist with Distinction, invites applications for the position of Men's Basketball Head Coach. WKCTC is a comprehensive community college that provides excellence in teaching a learning, promotes student success, and supports economic development.

Job Duties:

• Serve as head coach for the WKCTC Basketball Club intercollegiate basketball program.
• Recruit and recommend the acceptance of prospective athletics.
• Supervise practice sessions according to scheduled times.
• Responsible for the teaching and development of basketball skills to student-athletes.
• Make the necessary arrangements for traveling to scheduled events.
• Schedule all games for the basketball season with as little of class time missed as possible using NJCAA guidelines.
• Monitor academic progress of student-athletes including having study tables and securing tutors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Recruiting experience.
• Successful coaching experience at the college level.
• Playing experience at the college level.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Education and coaching philosophy in alignment with that of a small rural, comprehensive Community College and enthusiasm for this type of environment and the aspirations of its people.
