Men’s Head Golf Coach

The Head Coach Men’s Golf position is responsible for administering all aspects of the men’s golf program affiliated with the NJCAA.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Coordinates all on campus and off campus recruitment of student athletes for the men’s golf program within the guidelines of Cleveland State, NJCAA and TCCAA guidelines.
• Provides leadership and coaching for the men's golf team.
• Prepares athletes for competition using the most up to date methods and practices.
  Schedules and attends all team practices and contests for both teams for pre-season, in-season and post - season.
• Schedules all athletic matches for the golf team in the fall and spring.
• Follows college budgeting and process for golf team purchases.
• Coordinates team travel for all away events.
• Coordinate all team equipment, uniforms and maintain inventory.
• Supervise assistant coaches, and interns.

• Strong and effective interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including skills for teaching, public speaking, and public relations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of procedures to be followed in the event of an emergency.
• Knowledge of comprehensive community college concept.
• Demonstrated proficiency with various software packages including Microsoft office suite.
