Description
As an integral member of Stonehill College’s Department of Athletics, the Head Men’s Ice Hockey Coach will be responsible all aspects of the structure, leadership, and administration of the Men’s Ice Hockey program in a manner that aligns with the mission and values of the University and Athletics department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a critical leader in fostering a campus culture in which differences are embraced and works to advance the College’s mission of diversity and inclusion.
- Maintain current knowledge and ensure compliance with all policies, rules, and regulations set forth by Stonehill College, Division I Conference, and the NCAA, as well as federal, state, and local laws.
- Supervise and promote an atmosphere of compliance within the Men’s Ice Hockey program, monitoring activities of all assistant coaches and staff who report directly to the Head Coach.
- Operate a fiscally responsible program, including the cooperation in development and adherence to program budgets allocated by the Athletic Department, as well as ensuring compliance all institutional business policies and procedures.
- Manage assistant coaches and staff working directly with the program, including hiring, training, and supervision. Set clear performance expectations and provide sincere feedback to guide their performance and promote professional development and growth.

- Well-versed and knowledgeable in matters pertaining to the sport and governing body.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the community, faculty, students, and staff.
- Ability to develop student-athletes to compete at conference, regional, and national competitive levels.
