Description
Seattle University is a highly selective, independent, Catholic, Jesuit institution adjacent to downtown Seattle, and is seeking a dynamic and proven athletics department professional to serve as its Men’s Soccer Assistant Coach / Goalkeeper Coach.
Qualifications:
- Assist the coaching staff in planning and implementing team training sessions.
- Work with the coaching staff to develop specific training plans for the goalkeepers to be integrated into the framework of team training each day.
- Contribute to in-game coaching, focusing on the goalkeeper position.
- Plan and implement individual training plans for goalkeepers during team training.
- Work with strength and conditioning coaches to help develop specific conditioning programs for the goalkeepers.
- Assist coaching staff in organizing implementing offensive and defensive set pieces.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree from an institution of higher education.
- Minimum of five years experience coaching and/or playing at the college level, preferably at the Division I or II level, or coaching and/or playing professional soccer.
- Knowledge of the rules and regulations of NCAA Division 1 athletics.
- Excellent office and administrative skills, task orientation, timeline adherence and the ability to work and collaborate in a group setting.
