Description
The Assistant Goalkeeping Coach reports directly to the Head Soccer Coach. The purpose of this position is to provide direct coaching and feedback for the goalkeepers in a highly competitive NCAA Division III Men’s soccer program. The top priority must be the overall collegiate experience of the student-athlete and a commitment to promoting a positive and healthy team culture that encourages growth and development.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures of the department and institution as well as the rules and regulations of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), MAC Freedom, the NCAA, and other authorities that may legitimately influence the intercollegiate athletics program.
- Prioritize the development of the goalkeepers. Working with the head coach, develop appropriate drills to utilize during goalie specific practice time.
- Prepare specific feedback for goalkeepers of all levels during larger drills.
- Attend two 2-hour practices per week and as many games as possible. Specific schedule will be planned together with the head coach to provide consistency throughout the season.
