Men’s & Women’s Track & Field Head Coach

Primary Duties:

• Discipleship of the students in the program.
• Teaching and modeling the value of Christian competition.
• Developing student-athletes into a competitive team that will consistently compete for championships (conference and NCCAA).
• Recruiting and retaining quality student-athletes who value and understand Asbury’s mission and vision.
• Recruiting to a target roster of 40 student-athletes (20 men’s roster / 20 women’s roster) not including members of the cross country roster.
• Hiring and supervising assistant coaches and team managers with the approval of the VP.
• Planning, oversight and administration of the track & field budget.
• Organizing, planning and scheduling all practices, conditioning sessions and competitions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year institution, Master’s preferred.
• Experience in coaching track & field, collegiate level coaching preferred.
• Commitment to provide positive experiences for student athletes in the track & field program. Exhibit a commitment to abide by all University, conference, NCAA Division III, and NCCAA rules and guidelines. Experience with and commitment to working with diverse student populations.
• A committed and dynamic Christian faith is vital along with the ability to support the University’s theological position, lifestyle standards, and mission.
