Description
The Athletic Director will be responsible for organizing, managing, and overseeing all aspects of our athletic program in accordance with school policies and athletic association regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in K-12 Administration or Athletics Administration preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of teaching, coaching and /or AD experience preferred.
- Knowledge: Understanding of athletic program operations, college/NCAA recruiting process, organized funding practices, and Title IX guidelines are valuable.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and administer the interscholastic athletics program, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations while developing a short- and long-term vision for the program.
- Develop athletic policies in collaboration with key stakeholders and oversee equipment evaluation and selection, maintaining inventory and recommending coaching assignments.
- Monitor the District athletic program for gender equality compliance and serve as the liaison to athletic organizations, attending meetings and ensuring effective communication.
- Maintain accurate budget records, manage finances within the athletic department, and prepare and submit required reports to support financial transparency.
- Enforce the athletic code of conduct, address violations promptly, and communicate effectively with parents regarding student-athlete behavior to uphold standards of sportsmanship.
