Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous coaching experience in the assigned sport and at the same level.
- Previous teaching experience at the same level as the assigned sport.
- Valid First Aid/CPR card prior to assuming any coaching responsibilities.
- Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint clearance.
- I-9 employment eligibility in compliance with the Immigrations Reform and Control Act.
- HIV/HBV training (obtain within 60 days of hire date – District provided).
- Human Resources new hire training (obtain within 60 days of hire date – District provided).
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaching sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one's team.
- Supporting and enforcing the District’s rules/regulations and code of conduct for athletes.
- Maintaining communications with the head coach including attending required coaches’ meeting.
- Complying with Monroe High School rules, District policies, and WIAA League requirements.
- Assisting the head coach as directed.
- Attending all team meetings, practices and competitions as assigned.
- Supervising and conducting practices and contests safely; supervising locker rooms and buses.
- Managing uniforms, equipment and school facilities in a responsible manner.
- Assisting with press box duties and side line activities.
- Ensuring the availability of a properly supplied first aid kit and emergency care cards at all times.
- Monitoring athletes' school attendance, grades and personal conduct.
