Middle School Athletic Director

The Middle School Athletics program is uniquely coordinated by the Palo Alto Unified School District and the City of Palo Alto's Recreation team. As an Athletic Director, the successful candidate will plan and coordinate practice schedules for each sport’s team.

Essential Duties:

• Communicates by email and by phone with customers.
• Plans and conducts recreational activities for community members of middle school aged students at one of our three Middle Schools.
• Recruit for middle school sports coaches.
• Ensure facility is maintained and safe procedures are followed.
• Advertise upcoming events.
• Monitors practices and games at one Middle School in Palo Alto.

Qualifications:

• Strong writing and oral communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• At least one year of athletic director services at the middle school sports level &/or coached one year of middle school athletics.
