Description
The Head Coach for the Middle School is designed to oversee the total program of that sport. The Coach is responsible for coordinating and supervising the athletic program and team, fostering an appreciation for physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Planning all areas of their team.
- Leading and assisting their coaching staff in coordinating efforts under one program
- goal and ensuring compliance with rules at all levels.
- Analyze game strategy.
- Implementation of skill development.
- Coverage of bus trips
- Video analysis of games
- Statistical analysis of games
- Attend all league and local, district, and state meetings when necessary.
- Reach out to local youth groups to promote their respective sport in town.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of the sport is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
- Ability to react to change productively and manage multiple responsibilities.
