Middle School Head Football Coach

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and conduct a 1-hour practice session, 3 days per week.
• Coach 1 game per week.
• Distribute and collect team uniforms.
• Communicate with players and parents about expectations of our program.
• Create a positive environment for all players.
• Work closely and in collaboration with the Athletic Director.
• Respect professional ethics that require confidentiality.
• Follow procedures as set by Athletic Director.
• Have a personal and passionate relationship with Jesus Christ and a calling to serve as a positive Christian role model to our students.
• Be a dedicated and loyal team member supporting all school level activities and school-wide initiatives.
• Possess a strong desire to coach and develop athletes middle school level.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a strong and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and it should be evident in both the personal and professional life.
• Must agree to the mission statement, values, and faith statement.
• Must be able to uphold and support the mission statement, values, and faith statement.
• Have prior experience in coaching at the and/or collegiate playing experience.
• Possess the ability to mentor student athletes in their Christian faith, athletic skills and life skills.
• Be adept at engaging with student athletes and families; helpful in making parents confident in their choice of Cherry Hills Christian.
• Understand and embrace Christian education, having a biblical perspective on athletics and competition.
• Be able to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Be personable, energetic and approachable.
• Report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
• Be committed to further education in a related field.
