Description
The Middle School Head Volleyball Coach is responsible to instruct in the fundamental skills, prepare and strategize on the needed training for competition, and foster individual growth as an individual athlete and as a teammate.
Essential Requirements:
- Experienced understanding of volleyball and has participated in volleyball.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and resolve conflict with students, parents, and community groups.
- Ability to provide leadership and act with professionalism and integrity with school staff, students, parents, and community groups.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, officials, and spectators.
- Develops and implements a competitive schedule, practice plans, and position assignments.
- Oversees the strength and conditioning programs for student athletes.
- Manage all operational, fiscal, and administrative activities for the football program.
- Supervises and directs the assistant coaches and JV coach, if needed.
- Participates in special activities to include parents’ night, banquets, award nights, and prep assemblies.
- Complies with the rules and regulations as established by the Colorado High School Activities Association.
- Monitors athlete’s attendance/behavioral/academic status.
- Understands the signs and symptoms of concussion and removes players that are exhibiting signs and symptoms of concussion.
- Ability to drive students in a school vehicle to and from competitions.
