Description
Teachers at Denver Christian School are pivotal in administering a comprehensive, rigorous educational program. Operating under the guidance of the middle school principal, they engage students in various areas of academic study, encouraging intellectual and spiritual growth.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Teach specific subjects as assigned by the middle school principal.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and the principal to develop a cohesive curriculum that meets state and/or national standards.
- Integrate faith actively into daily lessons and learning activities.
- Maintain and update curriculum maps for all assigned classes and participate in curriculum development discussions.
- Utilize Denver Christian School’s Learning Management System (Canvas for grades 612) to track and communicate student progress.
- Hold and maintain appropriate teaching credentials. Preference for Colorado state credentials, but out of state or ACSI credentials may be considered with approval.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance educational practices.
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching credential from Colorado or equivalent from another state or the ACSI.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor effectively within a biblical framework.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster meaningful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
