Modified Girls Basketball Coach

Clyde-Savannah Central School District is looking for a modified basketball coach who is interested in furthering the district mission of educating, inspiring, and empowering our learners to unlock their potential in order to meet the challenges in an ever-changing world. This qualified individual will be able to maintain good public relations with students, parents, community, and media.

Qualifications:

• Experience in coaching basketball.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Appropriate coaching certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct effective practices and conditioning sessions
• Develop game plans and strategies tailored to the team’s strengths
• Instruct athletes on the fundamentals of basketball, including offense, defense, and individual skill development
• Foster a positive, supportive, and disciplined team culture
• Monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school staff
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members during practices, games, and travel
• Encourage community involvement and represent the program in a professional manner
• Assume responsibility for compiling, maintaining, and filing all reports, records, and other documents required.
• Comply with policies established by federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and the local board.
• Support, assist, and work collaboratively with our Clyde-Savannah youth and community athletic programs. Additionally, assist in the development of camps, clinics, open gyms, and meet and greet opportunities with players, parents, and coaches within the C-S community.
