MS Head Cross Country Coach

Qualifications:

• Current teaching or substitute certificate required.
• 3 years experience as an assistant coach at the high school or college level preferred.
• Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills.
• Must possess some knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
• Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.

Essential Job Functions:

• Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
• Instruct and demonstrate skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement.
• Plan and set up activities, practices and games; develops appropriate training programs and practice schedules.
• Ensure the proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of all athletic equipment, uniforms, and updated inventories are maintained.
• Adhere to financial policies in regards to collection and disbursement of money, expenses, and receipts.
• Ensure student athletes are eligible, insured, and are in good physical condition from the beginning to the end of the season.
• Maintain a safe environment and facilities for student athletes at all times.
• Other assigned duties.
