Description
Qualifications:
- Current teaching or substitute certificate required.
- 3 years experience as an assistant coach at the high school or college level preferred.
- Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills.
- Must possess some knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.
Essential Job Functions:
- Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
- Instruct and demonstrate skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement.
- Plan and set up activities, practices and games; develops appropriate training programs and practice schedules.
- Ensure the proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of all athletic equipment, uniforms, and updated inventories are maintained.
- Adhere to financial policies in regards to collection and disbursement of money, expenses, and receipts.
- Ensure student athletes are eligible, insured, and are in good physical condition from the beginning to the end of the season.
- Maintain a safe environment and facilities for student athletes at all times.
- Other assigned duties.
