Description
Performance Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Middle School Girls Softball Program.
- Develop and execute an effective training program.
- Inspire and guide student-athletes to play competitive Softball.
- Instruct/guide student-athletes to lead to the formulation and enhancement of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, self-confidence and good sportsmanship.
- Motivate and mentor student-athletes on and off the Field.
- Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and skills development.
- Manage game strategies and game day logistics.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes.
- Cooperate in a timely manner, with School Athletic Office and the District Athletic Department, in regard to requests for pertinent information that might be periodically required.
Trainings/Certifications:
- Ohio Secondary Teaching Certificate desired.
- Successful participation in a similar activity in high school and/or college. Evidence of successful past coaching experience at the high school or college level is preferred.
- Provide a satisfactory result on a County Police Records Check, State BCII Check, and FBI Fingerprint Background Check. Possess an Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Pupil Activity Permit. Completion of Coaches Tool Chest (CTC) Training/Certification.
