Description
As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will work with patients to help them improve their physical mobility and quality of life through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and other interventions. You will evaluate patients, create individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress to maximize outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct initial assessments and evaluations of patients' physical abilities.
- Develop customized treatment plans based on patients' specific needs and goals.
- Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to improve mobility and reduce pain.
- Educate patients on proper body mechanics and injury prevention strategies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure continued progress.
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Stay current on evidence-based practice and industry trends to provide high-quality care.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Previous experience working in outpatient settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
- Ability to assess and interpret diagnostic tests and medical history.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Dedication to continuing education and professional development.
