Paraprofessional – Physical Education

Under general supervision, assists in conducting physical education activities and health lessons for middle school students. Provides support in student supervision, behavior management, and performs related tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise locker room before and after physical education classes, ensuring student safety and appropriate behavior.
• Monitor hallways before and after class periods to maintain order and student safety
• Assist physical education teachers with behavior management during gym activities and health lessons.
• Support in the implementation of behavior modification techniques for students
• Provide lunchroom supervision as needed.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of physical education equipment and materials.
• Observe and document student behavior patterns, developing appropriate techniques to reinforce acceptable conduct.
• Assist instructional personnel with the development and presentation of physical education and health learning materials.
• Oversee and supervise students during class activities.
