PE Teacher

Naples Classical Academy (NCA) is seeking a Physical Education teacher for the 2024-25 school year. Physical education plays an integral and irreplaceable role in classical education. Physical education should focus on developing in physical movement as well as broadening student's range of movement. The exercises and games should be intentional, foundational, and progression-based.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Strong background in content areas; willingness to receive specific training.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• A satisfactory background check is required by state law and the Department of Education.
• Conviction in the values of a rigorous liberal arts education.
• Loyalty to NCA’s mission and vision.
• Commitment to model moral character in line with the school's core virtues.
• Adherence to all school policies, including but not limited to the Employee Handbook, Family Handbook, and all applicable school and board policies.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Foster professional relationships with faculty and staff.
• Seek collaborative relationships with parents and colleagues and mentor students.
• Assess and evaluate student performance and progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance and physical fitness assessments.
