PE Teacher

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in education or related field required.
• 3-5 years of relevant teaching experience, strongly preferred.
• Experience with independent schools, strongly preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Understanding of the developmental needs of students and how they learn best.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with diverse learning profiles.
• Innovative, creative, and flexible teaching style.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Is knowledgeable of grade level curriculum/demonstrates an expertise in Physical Education.
• Communicates appropriately and effectively with students and colleagues.
• Implements effective classroom management techniques and strategies.
• Upholds professional standards of attire, punctuality, courtesy and discretion.
• Attends/participates in professional development opportunities and integrates new learning into instructional practice.
• Demonstrates awareness/sensitivity to diversity and inclusion.
• Develops positive and appropriate rapport with students.
• Positively contributes to the culture of the school.
