PE Teacher & Athletics Coach

This position provides the leadership required to deliver quality physical education and athletics programs. This position provides the leadership required to oversee the instructional pedagogy, curriculum mapping, lesson planning, content delivery, and godly student formation within their classroom. This should lead to positive academic, behavioral, emotional, social, and spiritual growth of each student.

Qualifications:

• Agree with the City School statement of religious beliefs.
• Steward the mission, vision and values of City School.
• Demonstrate an ability to build relationships, communicate and collaborate with our diverse community.
• Hold at least a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Kinesiology, Physical Education, or related major.
• Preference will be given to one that has at least two years of prior experience working in physical education or head coaching a team sport.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate leadership with a growth mindset and interpersonal skills including collaborative communication, flexibility, empathy and humility.
• Schedule, update, and oversee all after-school athletic tryouts, practices, schedules, and games as well as the Athletics Calendar.
• Seek growth opportunities to improve coaching knowledge, strategy, and in-game adjustments.
• Create engaging practice plans that fosters student-athlete skill development and understanding of sport and team rules.
• Oversee the annual Athletics Budget.
• Coordinate and oversee referees, logistics, and facility preparations for all home athletic competitions.
• Create, save, and submit unit plans for PE classes.
• Create, save, and submit daily PE lesson plans in a timely manner.
