The Carmel School seeks a full-time P.E. Teacher & Coach for the upcoming school year. In addition to teaching Health and P.E. classes for grades K-8, qualified candidates must have the desire, knowledge, and experience to coach both Middle and/or High School sports.
Bachelor's degree required.
Master's degree preferred.

Enjoy teaching in a Christian K-12 independent school environment.
Analyze, demonstrate, and explain basic skills, knowledge, and strategies of games, rhythms, dance, and fundamentals of body movement.
Demonstrate the ability to create a student-centered class that facilitates students' physical, cognitive, and social and emotional learning.
Create lessons designed to develop skills appropriate to each student's abilities and confidence levels.
Provide engaging, fun, and effective instruction that helps build a health and wellness foundation for students.
Provide maximum participation for all students; personalize lessons to ensure all students experience success.
Be comfortable and creative using supplementary materials.
Communicate in developmentally appropriate ways to both students and parents.
Collaborate with school team members in providing ideas and support to increase health & wellness and movement & activity within the classroom.
Plan unit lessons and curriculum that foster the school's mission and teach classes with enthusiasm, creativity, and sensitivity to student learning styles.
Thorough understanding of the curricular elements of Middle/High School Physical Education and general knowledge of K-12 Physical Education curriculum.
Enthusiasm for the mission of the school and for working collaboratively with fellow faculty members of all grade levels at The Carmel School.
