Description
This is a full-time high school faculty position within the Physical Education department of Oasis High School and will be assigned PE classes throughout the academic year. In addition, a stipend is payable for this position to serves as the Head Football coach. As Coach, your goal will be to hold players, and assistant coaches to a standard of high moral character, respect, professionalism and maintain a standard of ethics that promotes the high expectations and vision of Oasis Charter Schools.
COACHING DUTIES:
- Serve as liaison between the coaching staff, Athletic Director and Principal
- Coordinate staff organization into essential basic units: offense, defense, and kicking and others with respect to reasonably accepted organizational systems for coaching football.
- Delegate staff assignments to assistant coaches.
- Ensure assistant coaches are completing duties as assigned.
- Motivate assistant coaches and players toward desired goals.
- Complete an annual assessment of the performance of each assistant coach.
- Ensures all coaches and related personnel attend all safety certification courses, earn appropriate certifications, maintain up-to-date fingerprint clearance, and follow all safety procedures with fidelity to student-athlete safety.
- Develop and organizes practice program. The practice program shall be structured to exhibit an annual plan, seasonal plans, and specific goals within the components of each week and date of practice.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid Florida teaching certificate covering appropriate area of responsibility.
- Bi-lingual skills are encouraged.
