Physical Education and Health Teacher

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Physical Education K-12 & Health N.Y.S. teaching certificate.
• Certified in CPR, AED, First Aid and Lifeguarding.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience, knowledge and background related to N.Y.S. learning standards.
• Experience in adapted physical education.
• Desire and knowledge to balance students' social/emotional and academic/intellectual needs.
• Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff and students.
• Desire and ability to work collaboratively with an academic team including an interdisciplinary approach to lesson design.
• Knowledge of strategies in the areas of literacy and writing.
• Knowledge and evidence of unit planning and lesson design.
• Uses varied instructional methods and assessments to support.
