Under the general supervision of the school principal, facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementation of district-approved curriculum, documentation of teaching and student progress, activities and outcomes; address specific educational needs of individual students; create a flexible, safe, and optimal learning environment; and provide feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.
Bachelor's Degree in physical education or closely related field.
ND Teaching License with appropriate qualifications to teach physical education and health at the secondary level.
Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
Ability to work well with others, resolve controversy and conflict through respectful negotiation, and accept constructive feedback.
Strong communication skills to facilitate connection and sharing of thoughts and ideas in multiple formats with diverse audiences.
Ability to reason, interpret, and analyze information to generate new knowledge and understanding.
Adept at problem-solving, resilient when faced with challenges, and skilled in planning and organization.
Experience working in a high school setting preferred.
