Physical Education/Health Teacher

Requirements:

• Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university.
• A valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with endorsement in Physical Education.
• Successful teaching and/or practice teaching experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional leadership skills.
• Exhibit skills pertinent to foster positive human relationships and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents and the community.

Essential Functions:

• Reports to work as scheduled on a punctual and reliable basis.
• Maintains an atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Exhibits skills pertinent to foster positive human relationships and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents and the community.
• Utilizes a variety of positive supports for the students in their physical and social development.
• Remains current about best practices in the physical education field.
• Engages in professional growth activities through an ongoing program of job related knowledge and skill development.
• Works collaboratively to achieve the overall purpose of the school’s program and support the District’s vision, aims and goals.
• Willingness to fill coaching role(s).  Current openings include: Asst Softball, Head Boys/Girls Track, Asst Volleyball, and various junior high openings.
