Physical Education Teacher

North Reading Middle School is seeking a long-term substitute Physical Education Teacher from April 15, 2025 through June 3, 2025. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.

Essential Duties:

• Unit/lesson planning.
• Direct instruction of students.
• Assessment of student learning.
• Be available to conference with parents and families as needed or requested.
• Work closely with the other physical education teachers and general arts team to ensure pacing and learning expectations are maintained.
• Other duties as requested by the Building Principal.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in Physical Education, grades PreK-8 or 5-12.
• Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in Health/Family and Consumer Sciences, All Levels, preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative working demeanor.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
